I need to learn how to make an advertisement banner like the ones on here in the upper right corner. I have Googled it in the past without promising results. Could someone summarize the process?

hire someone to do it if you don't know what a graphics program is. seriously, not being mean or anything.

Which graphics program are you talking about? I've used Photoshop but that's about it.

I could probably create the singular banner but I don't know how to put it together to move from one to the other. I only need two parts for it.

if you can do photoshop then it'll be easy to make it a GIF

just get one of these free solutions: http://www.jhepple.com/gif_animator.htm

or get something like ULead GIF Animator 5 which has a free trial I think

Dreamweaver is website development.. very very little help in designing an ad banner..

Photoshop comes with Image Ready, which is designed for animations. There's a little button at the bottom of main photoshop toolbar (where you select brush/select/erase etc) that will send whatever you're currently working on to Image Ready, just make a layer for every frame you want.

Then again, for only two frames ^ is probably the best solution
