How did you all figure out the friction factor? Im looking at the moody chart, and my reynolds number is too small to be on the chart. Mine range from 1.429 to 2.79 and the chart starts at 10^3. 2/5/2006 7:01:58 AM |

wow those are really small reynolds numbers. mine range from about 4700-8500. i would check all ur data and make sure units cancel out and all ur conversions are correct. 2/5/2006 10:58:15 AM |

do you have to look up a new friction factor for every data point?
because they all have a different Reynolds number
plus my reynolds numbers are in the 55,000 range

those are really high Re numbers. mine are in the 4-8*10^3 range. i would check to make sure all ur units are cancelling out correctly and all conversions were done right. Re should be unitless as well as friction factor. 2/5/2006 10:38:04 PM |
