i applaud the effort, i mean its the damn stones. i agree with whoever said they were sick of this teeny bullshit they played in the years before last. they would get 5 crappy pop bands to each play 2 mins of their one popular song.

last year with paul was kick ass, the stones are a good idea, but they just cant cut it anymore. they are still worlds better than a backstreet/nelly/britney spears crapfest.

I'd much rather see some amatuers out there that are given a chance.

make it a huge contest (not american idol) and the winner gets to do superbowl.

I mean you get to see Stones or Aerosmith or x for maybe 15 minutes by the time they do setup and rip down etc. Not even worth it. Give the time to a group or act that hasn't made it yet. Give new people an opportunity to get the biggest audience of a lifetime.

I agree with this. I mean, this is the only halftime show I've watched in years, whether on TV or in person, and the only reason I watched it was because it was the freakin' Stones. Yes, they're over the hill, and it wasn't that great...but at least they tried.
