yea im deff just goin for the bolt on stuff, I mainly bought the truck just to haul my horse trailer with. Im also having trouble with the rear end popping and when making turns with the trailer. Im kinda leaning towards the clutch pack in the posi trac as the problem. 2/8/2006 1:45:51 PM |

for what? a 12v is a superior motor for reliability and build potential.2/11/2006 8:16:22 PM |

I've been reading up on them, and the earlier 12v engines with 9mm injectors/holes are subject to cracking around the injector, namely towards the valves...the '92 and later ones have 7mm injectors and consequently have more meat and are much less prone to crack.
Guess which one I own... 2/11/2006 8:20:44 PM |

zxappeal, are you going to buy that 240 so you'll have a motor to go in that Dodge if the Cummins messes up 2/11/2006 11:50:35 PM |

Good lord no. If I did anything like that, I'd be slamming a "Leaning Tower of Power" slant six with a granny-low four speed in there.
I love Ford straight sixes, but if there's anything that I love more, it's a slant six. 225 cubic inches of pure stump pulling power. 2/12/2006 3:00:33 PM |
