60) A 0.3-m^3 rigid vessel initially contains saturated liquid-vapor mixture of water at 150 C. The water is now heated until it reaches the critical state. Determine the mass of the liquid water and the volume occipied by the liquid at the initial state.
73) A spherical balloon with a diameter of 6m is filled with helium at 20 degrees C and 200kPa. Determine the mole number and the mass of the helium in the balloon. 2/7/2006 9:24:40 PM |

Should have went to class Monday, he did both of these problems in class.
60. Too much to write out, sorry
73. Helium T = 20C + 273 = 293K P = 200kPa R-he = 2.0769 m^3 kPa/kg * K Volume = 4/3 pi r^3
a) m=MN N=m/M=37.17 kg / 4.003 kg/kmol
b) PV=mRT m=PV/RT plug in all the values posted above in the knowns and thats your mass.
