I'd really like to rally the VX, but I'd be deathly worried about destroying it

I took my Maxima to a rallyX. I had a blast. I had the thing airborn, well 1/2 at a time, a couple of times. When I came down, I seriously fucked up my fog lights. I also bent my exaust pipe, I guess I high sided (?) the car.
Drifting around dirt corners was really fun.

Go for it.
I'll be at Feb Fling in charlotte, so I won't be able to go to this.

I've taken the vx through some pretty knarly mud puddles, not worried about getting it dirty.

I'm worried about giving it body damage.

it IS my DD yaknow.

i think there are some pretty strict safety regulations that your car has to adhere to if you want to do this. i don't think anyone here has a car they could just show up with. and a lot of cars get beat up pretty bad at these things.

now going to a rally-x is different. you can run just about anything without too much risk. though i wouldn't take a car out there that is lowered. i think we bent a rim on a rental car out there one time too. it's still pretty rough on your car.

all I need in the VX is a rollcage and a 5-point.

There is a "Stock" Class too. Not sure of the scrutineering thats involved for those though. The guy that organizes this thing lives in Cary.
