Jay Dee aka J Dilla was Common's roomate and is best known for his productions with Slum Village when he was still a part of the group but has released several instrumental albums and produced Champion Sound with Madlib and various hits for De La Soul, Common, Talib Kweli, Pharcyde as well as tons of other people
