I'm moving into an apartment that just has 1 cable outlet, but I need to get cable in the other rooms. Can I use a cable splitter to make 3 connections from one? Is that allowed by TimeWarner?

keep in mind, the more you split the signal, the less strength it has. on the splitter itll have a gain rating signifying in dB the amount of signal strength that's lost going through the splitter.

yes, but it will be ghetto. don't get just a splitter, get an amp. if possible get something like this http://www.sharperimage.com/us/en/catalog/productdetails.jhtml?sku=SI670SIL and hope there isn't a lot of 2.4ghz interference

the sharper image blows...it's for the type of people that buy macs - "style," but no functionality

i have the angeltrax catv2400v.II and it's awesome:

I got mine for $30 from sharper image, so it was worth it to me

based on the name of that product, I'd say it was 2.4ghz as well, and probably has the same issues as mine (interference)

i didn't realize you only paid $30...i thought it was $100...in that case, it might be a better deal, since the angeltrax is something like $150

i also just found this, from x-10 (those wireless video cameras)...i know nothing about the brand, but this is $50, with a sender, receiver, and remote control

I'm going to chain mine to a 5.8ghz sender/receiver and use my 2.4ghz to change channels. then I won't have anymore static
