I've finished 1,2,3, and 4 part A
working on number 5, so far I'm using the formulas for a skew load in the notes. anybody have advice on finding My and Mz? Should you represent q as a single load in the middle? Or make a moment diagram.
any help would be nice 2/16/2006 8:03:06 PM |

I'm pretty sure you assume the neutral axis and centroidal axis are on the same axis. Mz=Msin26.87, My=Mcos26.87....not sure if the number are right dont have a book. I represented it as a single load in the middle(4800N), i think thats right. Because all the moment diagram will show you is the the largest moment is in middle(where the largest stress is) and it will still be 4800N. Dont get mad if i'm wrong tho. 2/16/2006 8:29:52 PM |
