You know what I mean, there's this random song that you hear once in a blue moon, but have no idea who sings it or what the title is to search for. Tonight I finally got "Love Song" by The Cure, and I actually owe it to the Olympics, they played the song before a break and I just happened to have an open browser to google it.

The last two songs I did this with were "Atlanta" by Stone Temple Pilots and "Stereo" by The Watchmen. Don't know if any of you actually know Stereo, but musically it's a great song and lyrically rather interesting.

Oh and the first song I ever did this with was "It's No Good" by depeche mode.

Any of you ever had this experience and if so with what songs?

I totally understand, I used to have "Love Song" kind of stuck in my head sometimes, but couldn't figure out what it was. Then in 10th grade I discovered it, and it was definitely the best feeling I've ever had as far as finding a song goes.

i do this occasionally with ads/commercials, but only for really obscure stuff and half the time i find out that the corporation owns the rights to the song and won't allow the artist to release, quite a few songs that i've wanted but couldn't get

Thank God you already had an open browser. The time it would have taken to open a new one would have been the difference in you finding the correct song for sure.

i re-listened to that moby song "god moving over the water" or whatever, when i saw the mac commercial with it a while back.

reminded me of better days when moby occasionally put out good music.

I was watching the olympics and they played the instrumental parts of Aerosmith's version of the old Spiderman theme over clips of people slaloming. I still don't get the correlation.

^ shit yeah. Is that the same song that the Beatles cover on Please Please Me? Because theirs goes, "go to him..." It's the same melody though. I suppose I could google it. shrug.

Ohhh...this is so nostalgia inducing. I think that show is why I like fiction with quirky characters now. The Maxx probably helped too.
