Mike Davis had the flu this weekend and missed the Iowa/Indiana game. From his recent comments to the media, he is now approaching his job as if he were on the way out. He said that Indiana needed one of it's own to coach...which might be a reference to Alford who was there this weekend with Iowa...

Mike Davis is an AWFUL coach and a bad guy.

Of course IU fans are sick of him.


I don't support Herb because he's scared of being the best he can be. But I do recognize that he's a good coach (he's just not cut out for the ACC, he's a mid-major coach) and a good guy (although a dork).


Mike Davis on the other hand should have been fired a long time ago.

my dad was telling me how mike davis early on got destroyed by some team and blamed his players talked about how bad they were, but then when they made to the NC game, he said 'see, now you can stop saying i am a bad coach'

its like, wait, shouldnt that be the other way around??

I'm not sure that Mike Davis is an awful coach. I mean, it's clear that he's not ready to coach in a major conference, but you have to remember that he jumped straight from being an assistant coach to the head of one of the biggest programs in the NCAA.

Virtually anyone having to fill in for Bob Knight is going to be a disappointment. Taking that job is just begging to be fired after a couple of years, and he should've known that going in.

Mike Davis is a bitch. He's always had someone else to put the blame on but himself. I hope that bastard gets canned and never finds another coaching job. I actually think he's a decent coach, but he never takes the heat for anything. actually, He doesnt even need to, he just needs to stop blaming everyone else.

With our talent/athleticism there is no reason we shouldnt attack.

Teams like Duke/UNC win games by attacking. If they lose, at least they have the benefit of knowing they gave it their best shot.

We on the other hand have to live with shitty games, marginal efforts...
