Hey, was just reading about this new piece of hardware from Apple. Wanted to know what the range of opinion was on TDub about it. Do you like the specs? Do you think it's overpriced? Would you buy one?

Lemme know... getting a notebook soon, trying to get a good feel for what's out there.

I ordered one of the base 1.83 models through the Student Apple Developer Connection. I think the price is pretty similar to a roughly equivalent Windows laptop. The specs seem pretty good, as long as you get enough RAM. I was pleasantly surprised with the free CPU upgrades the announced this week, unfortunately they pushed back the ship dates by a couple weeks. It's definently not the right thing for everyone, but if you like OSX and can deal with some of the problems, it should be nice. Problems being lack of universal binaries, no FW800, etc.
