No way we win unless Ced goes off and has a huge game. UNC will be on us defensively making it difficult for us to shoot 3s. Ced has to be ready to go to the basket quick and score on offense before they double team. Brackman also has to step up with Evtimov down. It wouldn't hurt to have that same defense against FSU show up too.

I just know that there are going to be terrible calls in this game. I can feel it. John Swofford will be there in person (the man who pulls the referee's strings). I'm sure it'll be either Larry Rose or Duke Edsall there (who are notoriously bad officials in NC State games).

We need to blow the refs out of this game. Shoot crazy-high FG% because they're going to go to the line 25 times or more. The refs WILL try their best to keep UNC close in this game, mark my words.

I wish there was a way to find out what refs would be at a particular game prior to them walking out on the floor.

I'm supremely confident of our ability to play well and win, but I'm also fairly confident in the impartiality of ACC officials.

I just want UNC to stay in 4th place regardless of what happens with the season wrapping up. Having to play them in the ACC tourney semis would not be good.

(if they're 4th they would have to go through Duke (most likely) to make it to the finals).

I don't think it'll happen. I think State will win this game. I just am of the opinion that the referees will have too much of an influence on this game.

UNC 28, NC State 42 at Halftime

UNC 55, NC State 66 with 5:00 to go in the 2nd Half

UNC 64, NC State 68 FINAL

Refs all get canned by John Swofford for not delivering like they were told.

UNC is lookin pretty good lately, give the leaders credit for knowing when to step up and make shots. Our goal has to be keeping Noel and Terry from killing us with open looks. This will be a defensive battle if we are to win, and I think that we can pull out a W.

Hansbrough never contests shots, someone to please take advantage of that.

Getting a huge lead on UNC would actually be great... as much as I hate NC State with double-digit leads. They are such a young team, it might just be enough mentally to break them down. Then again, Roy will find away to get them back into the game.

We better play defense. Even if we can't hit shit... it's our only hope. And Herb usually doesn't change offenses and defenses to adjust to other teams much... he just runs his stuff. Well, he better figure out what to do with Hansborough. If we hold Hansborough to about 15 points and box him out for the rebounds, I somewhat like our chances.

- Brackman. He must play solid D since Shoosh won't be available, hit an early 3 to keep Hansblow honest.

- Fouls. Go inside to Ced early and get "the 20 year old freshman" to the bench with 2. After Hansblow is out, let Cam, Gavin, Tony and Engin drive to the basket. If Frasor and Noel can pick up a couple cheap ones we're good. Make the FTs.

- Turnovers. 5 less than UNC commits should be good.

Hansbrough is a smart player. Even taking it at him he won't rack up the fouls. People will claim he gets all the calls, and he certainly does get his fair share, but he also is a very smart player. He jumps straight up and almost never leans in with the body, both on defense and on the boards..

Personally I don't think we should change our gameplan one bit.. It's worked this year..

I think we need to invert the offense for this game, much like we did against Duke in the first half. Simmons, Evtimov, and Brackman could have blockbuster games if they do. Hell, even Cam can get bunches of points inside. I really hope they use this extra time to work on that inside-outside-inside game.
