assuming you're not just trolling, here's some advice: there's a 99.5% chance that the previous owner made an account with that auth key. the game cannot be played without a fresh, unused key. blizzard will issue a new key if you send them the manual and $15, making the manual itself worth about $5-10 and the box/install discs essentially worthless.
[Edited on February 19, 2006 at 3:42 PM. Reason : also, most places are selling it for $25 new now] 2/19/2006 3:42:16 PM |

^^ correction most places are selling it for $40-50.
I shopped around last week to get it. Best Buy had it on sale for $30 tho.
I didn't think the game itself needed an auth key. just install and then sign up for a new account? 2/19/2006 4:16:54 PM |

you have to enter the auth key to create an account. otherwise those boxes would just sit on the shelves 2/20/2006 2:58:51 AM |

i think its gay as hell buying a game, and then having to pay mire each month just to play it, fuck that at least with something such as xbox live i can play any xbox game that is live compatible all for one flat fee 2/20/2006 8:52:31 AM |

yes but the difference is that the game is constantly updated and constantly something new. The "world" is so large that it takes months of casual gameplay to get to the end game and it's very enjoyable all the way if you aren't powerleveling. With a normal game... it eventually ends or you play multiplayer online a lot shooting people.
Wow has a rich world for just about every type of gamer. Power, crafter, casual etc etc. There is ALWAYS something new to do. 2/20/2006 9:11:02 AM |

This is what someone told me to get me to play: "If you won't pay $15 for a month's entertainment, that's just sad. I would drop that much cash at the bar without thinking twice. And that only lasts for one night." 2/20/2006 12:17:52 PM |
