i like three, but most of mine are two (it's the other way around neil)
i also like double vented jackets and i'm glad they've come back in
four+ buttons is pushing it for most settings unless you're involved with high fashion or you're a nba player

I have 2 2-button, 4 3-buttons, and 2 4-buttons suits, and getting 2 more 4 buttons in june
I like the 3/4 button as they fit better and will buy more of them
as one who wears a suit mon-thursday, and working in DC, I see a ton of 2 button black suits, however most non black suits are 3/4 button
however...I have seen some guys wearing 5,6, and yikes a 7 button suit once That is tacky 2/21/2006 9:14:17 PM |

i think 3 buttons make the torso look longer. longer torso=you look like you're taller, and have better posture. 2/21/2006 9:30:50 PM |

where to start, I'll make it short
TWO BUTTON is the only way to go, and your suit should be cut slimmer than most people think and if you've been following GQ for the past oh at least two years you'd know every designer is pushing two button
hedi slimane's two buttons are the killer shit
in conclusion

Where do you go to get a completely tailored suit? I'm tired of paying for recut suits that never fit right... the last time I bought one they had to take a 58 Extra Long jacket and cut it down to a 50 Extra Long because my shoulders are so broad. I've been to Varsity and a few other places and everyone seems to start at about a grand. 2/23/2006 1:05:35 AM |
