Which looks better:



This is my car (1988 Rx-7 GTU) with the round 89-91 tail lights



These are the tail lights from the 10th anniversary edition, which also came out in 1988.



These are what the regular 86-88 tail lights look like.

Which lights do you guys think look best on a white car? Keep in mind that these are all OEM lights. Also, if I sold my tail lights I could probably get $200 for them. The 89 lights go for a lot of money.

it's between 1 and 3 for me

i say keep it either the way your have it, or go for the 3rd pic b/c i am assume you are also going to keep the trim around the car black. if you want to go through painting all of it white, then go for the middle one.

Yeah when I got the car repainted I was debating whether to get the guy to repaint my trim white, but I didn't know what I was going to do about the tail lights. So I just had him touch up the paint on the black trim. So the consensus is that if I switch to pic #2 I should paint my mouldings white? I really don't like pic #3. That shit is hideous to me.

For those of you who think pic #3 looks like FD lights, this is definately not so. Here's what the 93 spec lights look like:

Did you not read the part in the first post about how I could actually MAKE money doing this? My tail lights are worth at least $200. I could get the #3 style of tail lights for free off my buddy's parts car. #2 I would either have to pay $Texas for from a 10th anniversary or make myself by painting the black #3 style.
