so will running one 17" wheel and one 18" wheel on the rear fuck up my LSD? i'm sure that if it was a closed or locked diff it could be a problem but i'm not so sure about the LSD. 2/28/2006 3:12:45 PM |

got a flat tire and my spare it the stock 17" wheel. the nail went in the tire at the sidewall so i'm going to have to get a new tire. so i was wondering if i should put take one of my front wheels and put it on the rear and run the 17" spare up front.

depends on the outer diameter of the tire. If you are worried, then put a front on the rear and go get it fixed. 2/28/2006 3:20:26 PM |

YES it will fuck it up.
My VX has a very "sticky" LSD and it specifically warns about this danger in the user's manual and many people have reported it having problems when putting the donut on the rear axle.

welll it depends on the outer diameter of the tirenot the wheel size
235/35/18= 215/45/17 = 215/35/19 in outer diameter

^ yea we know that already
and yeah, it definetly isn't good for a LSD, I'd be swapping around tires since you said the outside diameter is different 2/28/2006 4:10:18 PM |

i would rotate them if you're going to be doing any amount driving. if you're only driving straight to the tire place and it's just a few miles, it'll be fine unless they're drastically different in size.2/28/2006 4:23:23 PM |
