I am trying to take the door panel off of a 96 civic, but I cant get the window crank off (the window is off track). Can someone tell me how to get it off? 2/28/2006 9:04:48 PM |

point the window crank upwards
get a rag and shimmy it back and forth downwards between the crank and the door
a little metal securing pin should pop out (keep an eye on it! dont lose it) and you can pull the crank right off

Yeah, look behind the window handle and there is a small metal clip holding the handle to a rod. Best bet is to use a flat head screwdriver to try and take the clip off. After that, unscrew the 3 speaker bolts, the bolt holding plastic thing where the arm rest is, and then one more behind the door latch. Then yank hard on the panel... That should be it....
