is there a setting or something for this?

ill be entering data in excel and look up to see the window is now grayed out and none of my typing is going in.

what causes this? its pretty annoying.

do you have a laptop?

if so, maybe you just are accidentally brushing the touchpad for the mouse. just a thought

nah desktop.

its only my work comp that does it. home seems to be ok.

i dont find any adware or spyware in scans, though it seems like some program 'calling home' that would cause it to switch like it is.

If you don't know what bole_dom is, remove the four entries that mention it at the bottom.

And make sure none of you're applications are trying to update. (Windows, Office, Peachtree, Pest Patrol)

All of those should have options to disable automatic updating/version checking.

but fuck adaware.

i dl'd spysweeper and it found 67 items.

maybe this will fix it.

Use a combination of Adaware and Spybot with the latest definitions.


Those two together can't be beat.

ok ive removed any and all stuff adaware and spybot could find.

its still doing it.

and the creepy thing is its doing it like every 30 min, clockwork.

could it be a tracking program or something someone(employer) snuck on my computer? how would i go about finding it?

you can download microsoft's tweakui which has a setting to prevent other applications from stealing focus
