with this talent, we should NOT lose to seton hall and unc by 20+ at home. we should NOT lose to the worst team in the acc. we should NOT get worse as the season progresses. we should NOT have 3/5 minute scoring droughts at the end of crucial games, especially with three seniors. we SHOULD be able to score coming out of a timeout once in a while. some of that is on herb, whether you like it or not.

I support this thread. Stability at a program helps tons in recruiting. We have already landed 5* Chris Wright of the 2007 class and are almost there with 4* Jamelle McMillan. Think about this though for a second. Herb just turned what 43? How far along was Coach K or Roy, or Gary Williams for that matter, then? Both of them are what near 60? When they retire, who will be left?

They wanted Coach K fired becuase no one had ever heard of him. The three "supposed" finalists for the Duke job after Bubas was Bob Wenzel, Paul Webb, and Bob Weltlich.... no one had ever heard of Kryzooski, but the other 3 were well known names.

They wanted him fired when he failed to do anything with Bubas' leftovers in his first TWO seasons, and he wasn't a well known name at the time.

He made it to the NCAA Championship game his 6th season and 10th season. He took them to the Final Four in his 6th, 8th, 9th, and 10th seasons.

He won his first National Championship in his 11th season. Herb is so many light years away from K's progress it's funny.

Herb is NOT Mike Krzooski. Lets not try to compare them

Im sorry for being a real fan. Ive been to EVERY SINGLE FOOTBALL AND BASKETBALL GAME THIS YEAR. I was there in Winston cheering for our team yesterday. I went to Clemson and VT also. I was out at Doak today for my 3rd baseball game to State suck and watch the Bruins hit a homerun on seemingly every pitcher we threw out there. We lost 13-2 and 3 in a row to a team coming in was 6-9. We were 13-1 and now we are 13-3.

I guess I should have known. All of our coaches suck. Ive changed my opinion.

When you graduate, join the Wolfpack Club, pay for season tickets/LTR's, and join the Alumni Association.... yet see the same shit you're paying for year after year after year.... you tend to get sick of it.

I don't care if you support Herb. I support the team, always have. I donate to the Wolfpack Club and the Alumni Association... and I am in the process of getting LTR's (And possibly basketball tickets...1 year removed from school).

^Never said anyone wasn't a fan. Just mouthing off because a lot of people that get on here and bitch don't go to either game. Sure there were plenty of moments when I was pissed at Chuck this year like Clemson or UNC. Also at Herb too when we play like ass against Seton Hall, UNC, GT. I know they both aren't perfect, but why don't we just cheer and not fuss about them because nothing we say or do will affect Lee Fowler's decision to get rid of them.

Krzooski and Dean Smiff both were under much heavier criticism when they got to their respective schools. Hell, the students at UNC hung stuffed dolls dressed as Dean Smiff by a noose around campus in his 2nd season. The difference here is that Dean and K produced and produced quickly.

Herb gets a few years leeway for the program he took over.... but 10 years is enough. Same ole shit every year.

You support him? Great. Just don't be surprised when no one else does... and more importantly, don't act like were horrible fans

My dad's sister graduated from Duke in 1978. I think I know just a lil bit about Duke but I still hate them. It is somewhat comparable the two situations. Duke wasn't on probation or anything like that in those days. If Coach K is so good, how come our #10 seeded Wolfpack made it as far as his #1 seeded Devils last year?

My biggest question is, we call to fire herb, but with the talent we have this year, do you really think even with 2 of the best coaches in the league, Coach K or Roy, that we could have beaten UNC the other night? It seems like everyone is dead-set on us beating UNC and Duke, it's like we could lose every game one season except against those 2 teams and everyone would rejoice. I'll take a 21 win season and a loss to Duke and 2 to UNC. What's sad is that even if we lose to Duke and Wake, if we had beaten UNC at home, no one would have cared if Wake beat us by 20, and no one would be calling to fire Herb.
