I am starting a group called the Wolfpack Loyalists. The goal of the group is to reunite the Wolfpack Nation. This house has been divided for far too long and after seeing Bennerman's recent comments it makes me think our fan base is actually hurting the program.

We are never going to get anywhere by constantly bitching about players & coaches. We have to support our team & program, or we are going to continue to suck in every sport.


The first goal of the group is to take down Herb Sendek. This is not a thread to bitch about why he sucks, how badly he sucks, or how badly you'd like to punch him in the fucking face. This is not a thread to bash Sendek as a person, coach, or animal. This is a thread with the sole purpose of reuniting the Wolfpack Nation by ridding ourselves of the cancer that is Herb Sendek.

Please post serious ideas and we can decide a course of action.

I know UNC fans once hung Dean Smith in effigy after an embarrassing loss. I think this sounds like a great idea. I know we could get pictures of it in the student paper and probably N&O. I think an effigy of Herbert Sendek may be a big step in getting the Wolfpack Club to take us seriously and getting more media coverage.

I know a lot of people on here don't like me because all I have done for the past four years is bitch about Sendek, but this is not a time to let our personal interests get in the way. This is a time to unite and rid ourselves of Sendek before he destroys the universe. I know we are all sick and tired of being a complete joke. Many of us could have gone to real schools where they value winning and don't consistently shit their pants against rivals.

Please if you have any ideas or want to get started on this effigy (we need people capable of building one, people with ideas about where to do this, etc) let me know in this thread or via PM if you wish to be a silent supporter.

Bennerman's comments were b/c of our fans bashing of our players, and more appropriately, Herb Sendek. Yes, the fact that a lot of our fans always find the faults about every member of our team and staff and constantly bitch about these faults does hurt our program.

this is the year that herbert will not improve in ncaa success.

Sorry if you think the plateau hasnt been reached --- you are fooling yourself. I would love for the players to step up and reach the top 8, but I find it hard to do that when your coach is missing the "IT" factor.

Roy has it, Coach K has it, even BC's Coach has it.... its called passion and intensity...And the ability to project those on to your team.

I will say though rally... I think finding a replacement is actually the first step, and starting with rick barnes and moving to calipari 2nd is a wise set of goals. I think we could land both of them at this time in our program, and I dont think we can do that if the team falls back over the next few years.

BUT -- Gaining the support to get him fired is probably the ultimate first step, because if fowler is smart, he will find the replacement before he acts upon the pressure he will face.

The burning sounds like a good move... maybe even outside of the ncaa game if anyone is going....

History has shown that even when 90%+ of NCSU fans want Sendek gone, the higher-ups around the NSCU Athletic Department still support him. So, I don't numbers alone will do it. And they still see fans coming to the games and packing the RBC.

As long as we continue at a level just above mediocrity and barely making the NACC tourney, that will apparantly keep the level of support (including most importantly season ticket sales and fans in the seats) to keep Sendek around.

If the team tanks next year and people stop showing up to the RBC, then maybe Fowler will finally have to get rid of Sendek.

As far as a short-term strategy, the fans need to make noise with their money. Cancel your tickets and/or stop going to games. A near-empty RBC and falling ticket sales will really hurt and force them to make a change. But that would take some doing given that NC State fans historically have supported the basketball program through thick and thin fairly well (eg, packing Reynolds even in the Les era).

If you think recruits don't read message boards (TWW Sports Talk? maybe not but threads of this nature in general - I'm betting RallyDumbass has one on packpride as well) then you are mistaken.

Top recruits want a program that has stability - not being sure a coach will be there next year isn't what they want.

I wish Herb would get a 20-yr contract. That way all these "grass is greener" assholes could find a new team to "support."

He struggles for one season to undo the damage that Doherty did.

'04-'05 Roy Williams wins a national championship.

Every single player goes pro or graduates.
