My workplace, SunTech Medical Inc., is looking for one or two part-time students. Summary
This position requires a hands-on person who is capable of performing and tracking a large number of tasks and ensuring that projects meet deadlines. Candidates for this position must be able to perform complex highly skilled tasks and they must be willing to do hands-on work. This position encompasses a broad range of duties that require good analytical skills, as well as knowledge of human physiology and cardiovascular diagnostic devices. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, meticulous individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
This position will work with internal and external clinical staff, and personnel from other departments, to perform validations on medical devices. Job duties include assisting with the collection of physiological data (e.g., performing auscultatory blood pressure measurements in the office and in the field), organizing, and analyzing this data.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide clinical support for product development and customer support. Help to advance the company’s technology by collecting data for algorithm development and validating new and existing products to clinical standards. This position will assist in the development of clinical protocols, create spreadsheets, and test blood pressure monitors and other cardiovascular diagnostic monitors.
• Coordinate internal projects • Develop thorough knowledge of clinical protocols • Follow validation protocols and train contract personnel • Perform BP data collections, some field testing, data analysis, and documentation • Schedule subjects for clinical validation testing • Greet and Explain test procedures to subjects • Responsible for ensuring data quality and meeting schedules
Qualifications, Education and Experience Guideline • Student pursuing an allied health degree desired • Experience with clinical trial work and/or medical devices a plus • Proven analytical and problem solving skills • Working knowledge of statistics • Proficiency with PCs, DOS, MS Windows, MS Office (Excel a must), and MS Project • Excellent hearing and the capability of taking accurate auscultatory BP measurements • Excellent oral and written communication skills
