i need a 3" 8-point socket

hub nut socket? carquest has them for a a pretty resonable price, if i still worked at the state i might be able to get you one, but i'll call over there and see if i might could get a hold of one, it would have to be back on monday though. usually if it isnt recessed, a hammer and cold chisel will do the trick.

^^yea, for a rockwell disassembly

i called one of the local carquests, no luck

same with napa and autozone

also checked with petro last night on the way back to raleigh

and no grape, im not gonna spend 45 min making one

no luck on that socket, are you sure it's 3"? they had a 3 1/8" and a 2 3/4", and i can't remember ever not having the right one.
