I would like to Borrow someone's Microsoft Office for XP installation cd. Must have product code. They can be installed on up to 3 computers, and I need it on mine ASAP. I didn't know that mine came only with a sample when I bought my computer, and I've used my 30 day trial already. 3/18/2006 2:14:02 PM |

This is not wrong, I talked to Microsoft Customer Service when I didn't know what was wrong, and they told me it didn't come permanent on my computer , and to borrow someone elses since it can be installed on up to 3 computers. 3/18/2006 2:22:38 PM |

There's no other way to find out but to ask. It comes free with a lot of computers, or for a small fee that's added into the price. And it gives you the cd so you can reinstall it if your computer crashes or so you can put it on other computers. It is not illegal or problematic, damn.

The full version never comes free with all new computers.
It's usually the shitty 60-day trial. And I don't think any of us have the trial version for you to install on your computer. If you want the full version on your computer, you're going to have to buy your own (or at least borrow the CD and provide your own key).

I would have used my roommates, but she lost her cd-came on her computer-full version. I would have used my boyfriend sisters, but I never see her-came on her laptop- full version. Can't use the boyfriends since he has a later version of Windows-came full version on his computer. My parent's computer has a later version of Windows as well-it came full version on their computer. Everyone I have asked in person had the full version installed when they bought it. But since they're too irresponsible to keep up with it themselves, it goes home with their parents, and they don't have it readily available for me to use. There is no fucking issue with putting it on another computer. If someone has it, but doesn't need to use it on another one of their computers, they would let me borrow it, I bet. 3/18/2006 5:09:47 PM |

^Thanks anyway, I have one in line already. I got a ton of offers though. Guess I was correct that it isn't illegal.
So all you fuckers with your locks and buckets can get over it already! 3/18/2006 7:19:11 PM |
