The fans are very spirited as well...I think I have found another school to root for

i am now officially a Wichita St. fan

that Braeur kid is awesome, and their big men held off Wingate incredibly. they also found ways to outrun Patterson and the fast UT guards. you could tell the WSU players were tired as shit when the game ended. they held nothing back.

also, WSU got screwed on calls consistently. i think thats just the norm. the team with more brand equity gets all the close/questionable calls. but somehow, the kids made up for it and fought harder. they obviously paid attention in Basketball 101, with the way they were boxing out and getting the boards. they also hit several clutch/momentum-gaining threes.

i would like to reiterate how awesome their fans were

their cheer leaders were hybrid-gymnasts, they didn't cheer so much as they did flips and shit. the girls had abs that could stop a train. i wanted to get my picture taken next to one of those abs. also, after doing their flips and shit, the broads threw up the shocker sign with their fingers. it was awesome.

the band was hillarious. they looked incredibly tattered. they had one 90 year old dud playing the horn, 2 or 3 middle aged women, and were not in any uniform. they were all dressed differently, and sounded a tad bit uncoordinated. it was hillarious when the WSU fans started doing their cheers to the backdrop of the UT band.

my friend's dad somehow got tickets in section 125, which is pretty much half court. lucked out.
