I decided to sell my 76 gmc C2500 a few weeks ago. Had several people come to look at it but said it was too ugly to take home and say "look what I bought honey" So I decided it was time for some quickie down and dirty bodywork and paint. The goal of this wasnt a flawless perfect paint job , more like one color and shiny. The truck had about 200 spots that needed attention and we got about 150 of them. Dropped $385 for supplies and $100 to the shop owner for use of his shop. Used Nason base/clear on the truck and SEM spray bomb for the grill. I now have a new found respect for anyone that can do paint/body work. Its not as easy as it looks folks. The good news it that I still have a fair amount of supplies to use on my next project. Well here are the results:
before:
Paint prep
Tracy and JJ
Tracy spraying the clear
The end result:
I still need to put the mirrors on and spray something in the bed but I happy with the results. A big thanks to Tracy Gunter and Bob @ Raleigh Auto Body Works 3/19/2006 6:37:46 PM |

I dont believe it is on auto trader, fine with me if it is though. Open for trades but deff not a bike. Been there done that and still have a limp. If anyone else is interested in a possible trade, It is listed in the TWW classifieds and we should probally discuss it there. Thanks for all the compliments 3/20/2006 5:47:09 PM |
