I'm missing my cat spaz, she's been gone for 3 days, she's a tortoise shell and is about 1 yr old. She still looks like a kitten cause shes a midget. She has on a flea collar and may or may not come to her name. If you have a wet package of food and wiggle it she will come running.

Please keep an eye out for her and keep her in your thoughts, i'm missing my baby.

i live in gorman crossings and the only one of the billion cats that is actually nice and will let me pet her (i think the rest are all wild) i suspect is pregnant

so when that bitch has her litter you can have one of those as a substitute because i'm sick of all these bastards climbing all over my car.

midget cat+wilderness=little hope

unless she's not fixed, in which case she could be trying to just have some cat-fun.

I've had a cat disappear for 2 weeks, then come back on its own, like nothing happened. But, my neighborhood is MUCH more conducive to wandering cats than anywhere in Raleigh.

Ashes, this is fucking ridiculous. You should be banned from pet ownership. I've been trying to stop using this line, but whatever: WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?

Ashes, I am really sorry about Spaz disappearing. Is she indoor only? My cat is indoor only and sometimes does find a chance to dart out the back door. He only goes a few steps out and if I walk slowly up to him he will let me grab him and go back inside. Anyways I can't imagine him being gone for days. Have you contacted the lost & found? It is very possible that an animal control officer picked her up. http://www.spcawake.org/lost.html. I would not just call or send notice online. I would actually go to the animal intake center in Garner and search for my cat. Cats are hard to describe and they have so many they could even look over your kitty. Here is a pag with directions to the Wake County Animal Control. Also I would put an add in the News & Observer. http://www.wakegov.com/locations/animalshelter.htm Some general info.

HELPFUL TIPS
What To Do If Your Pet Becomes Lost!

1. The minute you notice your pet is gone, set out on foot in the neighborhood, calling the pet's name. Most dogs will hang around the area where they were lost for 12 to 24 hours. As you go, ask neighbors and every child you see to look out for the pet.
2. Make up a flyer with a picture of your pet and a description and post throughout your neigbhorhood and/or the area where you lost your pet. Put these up at any location that has a steady stream of people, i.e., supermarkets, pet stores, public telephones, gas stations, bulletin boards in police stations, veterinary offices, drug stores and other places where children might hang out, for they are more likely than adutls to notice a seemingly lost pet. These notices should include a color picture of the animal, where and when lost, a full description of color, size, breed, age, sex and identifying characteristics and your phone number. DO NOT put an address on them.
3. Call your local daily newpapers and place an ad, offering a reward, for your lost pet in the lost and found column in the classified section. Often these ads can be placed free of charge. Check all Lost & Found ads on a daily basis for possible responses.
4. Call all local veterinarians, in addition to placing a poster at their offices. Also check the local after-hours pet emergency clinics. If you live in Wake County, call all three emergency clinics at 781-5145 (Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh), 233-4911 (Tryon Road & Kildaire Farm Road in Cary) and 462-8989 (Old Apex Road and Cary Parkway in Cary).
5. Notify your local police station and/or sheriff's office. Some people do report found pets to local authorities first. Leave a stack of posters.
6. Call the radio stations listed in the yellow pages of your local phone book and ask if they will announce lost pets as a public service. If they do, give them a description of your pet.
7. Give your mail carrier and pizza delivery drivers a copy of your lost pet poster. These carriers travel your neighborhood 6-7 days a week.

Additional Tips

1. For your own safety, if you receive a response to your inquiries, remember to use your head--not your emotions--when making arrangements to claim your lost pet:
a.
Do not have the caller come to your home. Suggest meeting in front of your local police station. If the call is not legitimate, this will immediately discourage the caller.
b. Do not meet the caller alone. Arrange for a friend or relative to go with you.
c. Do not give in to attempts callers may make for you to meet at their home or anywhere else. Insist on meeting at an agreed upon designation.
2. Whenever you have a possible match, do not rule out the possibility because the pet was found a good distance from where it was lost. People often transport pets great distances, then put them out again (or they get out on their own).
3. If you find your pet, or have other pets, take action to make sure your pet doesn't get lost in the future. Put permanent identification tags with your name and phone number on your pet's collar, and always make sure your pet is wearing its collar. Speak to your veterinarian about giving your pet a microchip identification number, repair your fence, lock your gate, and keep cats inside. It is easier to avoid having your pet get lost than it is to go through the heartache of trying to find a lost pet.

Ok see, the other cat got out last time, and that was my fault.

This time my roommate let my cat out. There is absolutely nothing i can do about my roommates letting the cats out.

Sully has only been lost once and spaz is gone for her first time right now. It's not like this happens all the time.

It's not even like the cats have tried to get out before, they just suddenly got interested in leaving that one day that sully got out.

Once again i'd like to say taht i have no control of my roommates letting out my cat.

I love my cats. I dont mistreat them, i give them whatever they want, they have it good here. It's natural for cats to be curious. If she wasnt a spoiled indoor cat, i'm sure she'd be back by now. She probably just doesnt know how to get home. I miss her dearly.

don't kill them in their sleep.

restrain them while they're sleeping, and then wake them so you can torture them....

i know how you feel. one night jekyll went missing from our apartment. from what we can tell, the neighborhood kids opened our screen backdoor to play with him (we had the main door open to let air in), and never put him back inside... probably because he won't let people hold him. marko and i were out in the middle of the night with flashlights, and i was bawling my eyes out.

fortunately, jekyll is so retarded than he didn't go more than 2 buildings over in the 6 hours he was gone.
