could i use this in conjunction with my 6800 gto in sli? i don't know all the specifics about running 2 video cards in sli

I believe so, I think the only difference between the two cards is clock speed. So if your card has an sli bridge it should be all good.

$154 gets you the better/faster 6800GS on newegg, and that is SLI compliant

no, the 6800gs is an inferior card with only 8 pixel pipelines as opposed to 12. know what you're talking about the next time you try to troll someone's thread.

excuse me, I had the 6800xt and the 6800gs mixed up. you are correct, and that is a good deal. $110 delivered isn't bad for the same card with a lower clock speed. the card does overclock fairly well with that monstrous heatsink

The board models are becoming confusing now days. funny to see an xt as a low end version on nvidia boards while xt is a high-end, and xtx beeing bleeding-edge (I think).

If anyone else is wondering, this card can play Oblivion.

i've got the 6800 Go 256MB PCIex version in my laptop and it plays Oblivion just fine, but the 7800gt in my desktop pwns it at ultra high quality . Good card though, specially for $100.
