Merlefest was pretty hot last year. Went on Sunday, got to see Doc playing gospel in the morning, then Bela Fleck with the Chieftains, and Alison Krauss + Union Station closed out the day.

Nickel Creek is definitely one of my fav bands so i think im gonna try and postpone my flight back to england. I hate to miss it again, especially with them playing.

I LOVED the Chieftains set; they were my favorite of the day. However, apparently a lot of people who were there for the whole weekend were pissed because they played the same set on Saturday and Sunday. I didn't know that at the time so I didn't care--and Fleck played some sweet, sweet leads.

I think this year he's actually playing with the Flecktones, though.

I won't know if I can go until that week, though. Damn rotations.

Saw Nickel Creek last night in Denver on their new tour. Put on a fantastic show.

Not a great photo but I was on the 5th row center:



They played a mix of new stuff but mostly all their classics. They played The Fox which is probably my favorite Nickel Creek song.

Yea coworker saw them in DC a week or two ago and said it was great. She is considering getting tickets to Koka Booth now for their local show.
