Never heard that name and I'm a senior...maybe a new person?

Nevertheless, take "Gooner" for 360. He's hilarious, lets class out early a lot, and only teaches what's important & useful and doesn't bore you w/ details. He's had a crazy career (like VP of Jack Daniels & some other liquor distributors...wild stories there) and he knows his stuff. Go w/ Gooner.

Gooner isnt teaching BUS 360 this summer or next fall.

Its either Kimbrough or Henard. They both teach 360 next fall but only Kimbrough teaches it in the summer by distance ed.

Any info on either Kimbrough or Henard would be great, thanks.

Ah, that's a bummer. I've heard very positive things about Kimbrough from students that took 360 before Gooner arrived, so I'd stick with that. I definitely haven't heard of Henard before, and I don't exactly trust newcomers (see: Reich for BUS 350).

Another key issues to consider...

Kimbrough teaches 360 next fall in a nelson classroom (30-40 students)

Henard teaches 360 in nelson 3400 (300 students)

common sense would say to go with henard because any class in 3400 should be easier but im not so sure about this henard guy....

I've heard Henard was good for 466 (Personal Selling) but there's lots of work

^^I don't know about you, but I preferred classes *not* in 3400. Most of the big classes in 3400 gave me trouble staying awake--it's dim, you're far away from the teacher, while the chairs aren't exactly comfortable, you can slouch easily....

I did better in the smaller classes because it was more personal, and I was more engaged in the material. At least I didn't fall asleep as often.

Henard was AWESOME for 466. I couldn't imagine him being bad for 360. He has been on just about every level in the business world and knows his stuff.

He's also a very dynamic teacher and it's almost impossible to get bored. I would have loved to have had him for 360 when I took it. I still had a good teacher in Malkewitz...the adidas guy that I think was banging a couple of the female students. Either way, he was a good teacher.

And there really wasn't a lot of work for 466. Out of all my concentration classes, it was probably the most reasonable as far as workload goes.

^ I didn't know for certain because I've never taken Henard personally, just what I've heard from other people that took his 466 class

It's the whole "selling knives" thing that some people don't like. But it's really not that bad. You just make presentations to everyone in your family. I went home one weekend and did like presentations (I think you have to do like 9).

Other than that you just have like 4 multiple choice tests. Not too bad in my opinion.

I'd take Henard for 360. I had him for 466. Everything was fine and the Cutco wasn't rough at all, he gave us the last week off (for training earlier in the semester off campus), all you have to do is know 8-10 people 25+ or older to give you 15-20 minutes of their time, and for some reason, that rubbed some people as "very difficult" and "a lot of work." He knows a lot, and has seen a lot, but I'm not sure 3400 is the room to get as much out of his class as you could in a 40 man room.
