What's it like?

Similar to In Reverie?

Found these clips:

http://www.vagrant.com/std_moneen/soundtree.html

Sounds like more of a Stay What You Are vibe.

it's a nice blend of all their stuff in my opinion. the singing is similar to in reverie, but better. "sound the alarm" and "say you'll never leave" are my two favorite songs.

In reverie was complete shit.

Through being cool and stay what you are were money.

I hope this is nothing like In reverie

Actually, I think In Reverie is my favorite album of theirs now. It took a long time for it to grow on me, but once it did it surpassed all the rest.

Like I said, it took me awhile...but once I managed to adjust to the tone of the vocals, the album was amazing. There's much more to it than the others.

But yeah, the general consensus seems to be that this is more like their older albums.

it's more of a blend really. some songs sound more like in reverie, others more like stay what you are or through being cool. "the exit" even reminded me of can't slow down a little.

i really like the album, and i think that people will like it whether they liked in reverie or not. and while it's a blend of a lot of their stuff, it's also unlike anything they've done before at the same time. there's pretty sweet guitar riffs in some of the songs.

Depends on what you like about them.

Through Being Cool is a great pop-punk style album. They experimented with their sound a little more on Stay What You Are, and I really liked the direction the guitar pieces were moving in. In Reverie followed those ideas all the way through. I like all three of them for different reasons.

Firefly is a fucking tight song, though.

The hallmark of a shitty band is when you can't tell the band name from the album name from the song name.

^ sweetness, thanks!

yeah I saw these guys w/ Taking Back Sunday @ HoB a few years back when TBS was only playing stuff from "Tell All Your Friends".

fabulous show.

BUT, the greatest Saves The Day show EVER was them opening for Weezer at the "ESA Center" back in like 2002. Holy balls

he didnt present it as his opinion, he flat out said, "he greatest Saves The Day show EVER was them opening for Weezer at the "ESA Center" back in like 2002". that looks more like fact than opinion to me

^ I followed it with "holy balls"

That negated any type of seriousness any fool would ever get from what was written before it.

the "holy balls" came after a period, not a comma, so it didnt really negate anything. you basically just started a new sentence with "holy balls", an incomplete one at that

just listened through it, I like it a lot better than In Reverie.

honestly I couldn't listen to In Reverie beyond "Anyone But You", so this is a great surprise...but they're just as whiny as ever!
