I have a 2003 TL.

I love that car. Good pickup, comfy, mostly quiet and good looking.

Mine is leased and I need to sell it because I am gonna go over the miles(lease up in Aug, culd sell it now), lemme know if you are really interested. 48k Miles mostly highway. (21 highway miles each way to work)

The interiors (at least on the Type-S) are really nice. Heard mostly good things about the reliability. Seotaji had a number of complaints about his though.

AFAIK TL doesn't have a Honda equivalent, it's a US-market only car.

i thought the accord was closer to the TL than the TSX - the TSX is smaller and almost the 4dr civic size i think

No, the TSX basically *is* a euro-spec Accord. Look how close those two pictures posted are.

may be getting one this summer aswell(3rd gen. of course). My mom has a 2nd gen. and its a great car. For the price you can't beat all of the included interior standards and everything. The only complaint is it's FWD

Acura is a North America brand under honda. Acura isn't found in Japan. Hinse why they have Honda NSX's.

own an '04 TSX, great car, could use a bit more pep off the line, but an exhaust and intake upgrade could handle this.

wife took the TSX in for service this morn and got a TL loaner, and called to say that it's our next car, she loves it, and from everybody i've talked to they love them too. and they are seeming to hold their value well. it's hard to beat what acura is putting in their cars as standard equipment for the price.

I'll be looking to get rid of mine pretty soon....it's a 99 black on black w/115k. as for the tranny question above I've never had a problem with mine, acura went to a five-speed automatic in 2000 vs. a four-speed automatic that ended in 1999. they had tons of problems with the five-speed auto and ended up having to extend the tranny warranty for a lot of customers. only compalaint i have is that they didn't offer a manual until the new body style, only bump shift.

honda inspire and saber. US built cars meant for the foreign (incl. japanese) market. they have smaller engines (mostly), and better option packages.

yeah, i got a damned lemon of a car. mechanicals are great, but the interior and some trim pieces are absolute shit. my 10 year old accord feels like it has a stronger unibody and doesn't squeak/rattle at all inside. i can't say that for my newer TL. the thing that really gets me is that acura/honda knew that this car was a POS and still sold it anyway. don't expect too much sympathy from dealers (like leith acura) nor acura of america, once they have your money, they could give a shit. find a good dealer, that's the only reason i still have this car.

the newer '04's and up have their fair share of issues, but not as many as the old model year.

I drove a friends TL not long ago and I was impressed with the smooth ride, comfortable seats, luxurious interior, standard bi-xenon headlights, quality radio with blue tooth, and several other things here and there. My biggest complaint however was the front wheel drive and sub par handling. The brakes were good (not great) but when I attempted to take corners or make lane changes at fairly fast (but not exceptionally fast) speeds the car got squirley (sp?), which was a major turn off for me. Moreover, I didn't care for the feedback in the steering wheel. It felt like i was playing a video game. But this is coming from a guy that pretty much only likes German and Italian cars, so I'm compairing apples with oranges. But if these things aren't as important to you as they are to me than I say go for it, b/c aside from its mediocre performance it's a nice car.

my aunt has an 04 and I love it. Pretty quick, but you feel like you're driving a luxury sports car. the interior is pretty pimp. I'd drive the hell out of it

drove the TL tonight on the way to pick up the TSX... was an 06 with 800 miles and navi, I enjoyed the navi, a great novelty but for me this was the first time i've ever used a car with navi and I think it worked pretty well. car handled good, ride was smooth and quiet, alot better than the TSX, acceleration seemed decent and I have to agree on the feedback, I felt kind of removed from the road to be honest. Looked at one when we got back to the dealer and for 36K sticker for what they have on it is a great deal to me. Will definately be looked at in a couple years when it comes time to trade up the TSX.

Those are the fog lights. They're located just inside the projectors instead of down on the bumper like on most other cars.

Acura has a 7 year tranny warranty on all TLs now. I think they increased it to address concerns.

^yeah if you buy a used one check out the tranny and ask them if they have had problems or had it replaced.

Google about CL transmissions....I don't know if it applied to TL's but you should look into it.
