voting is done before the tournament so both their perfomances in the tournament dont matter at all

i think the tournament proved how Sheldon Williams MADE that team day in and day out...not that Redick isnt a great player

but Morrison didnt have another superstar to help him out...course he also played in a weaker conference...but they're both crybabies hahah

I agree with Treetwista... to an extent. They were on JJ like white on... JJ. That means Sheldon and the others were open. They shouldn't have lost.

now again i, like you all, have seen redick singlehandedly kill us in games...he was a great college player who will be hustling people in pickup games at the YMCA in a few years...but a great college player nonetheless...but he did have a beastly center helping him out and the ACC's all time leading scorer should have been able to lead his team, as a senior, past the Sweet 16

actually, duke made it past the sweet 16 just ONE out of his 4 years.

2003: lost to Kansas in the sweet 16
2004: final four
2005: lost to MSU in the sweet 16
2006: lost to LSU in the sweet 16

that's what I meant

he said

Quote :
"should have been able to lead his team, as a senior, past the Sweet 16"

and i continued his statement with

"and past the sweet 16 in three of his four years in school"

I disagree. They both made each other.

You take either one of them and put them on a team where they don't have a person to rely on that is good as they are, and both of them lose 20% of what makes them so good.

Thats why Duke was so brutal, focus on Shelden, JJ will kill you, focus on JJ without an answer for Shelden, Shelden will kill you. It was only a matter of time until they ran into a team that had an answer for both and you finally see the weaknesses at Duke, which is all their support players this year could stand to be a little better (in re of winning it all).

^you made my point better than I could have. Well said.

Very much as a solo Jules still managed to make our team last year b/c he made the players around him better.

^^^^,^^^i agree and maybe i went a little overboard saying Shelden made the team

but my main point was that Adam Morrison didnt have a Shelden Williams to help his team win 25 games

Pearl got robbed even more by not getting SEC coach of the year

however, with the way the Final Four shaped up, maybe he didnt

He's going to have hard time getting enough playing time in NBA.
