I've always liked them, and ive seen them at the creek. Ive seen them on television live a few times and always they sucked ass live. I thought I was being a little extreme with my judgement, and then the other day out of nowhere I hear someone saying they thought they were the worst sounding live band they've ever heard.
Anyone have any opinion on this? Its great when people can truly dislike the same thing.

i've seen them, and they put on a good show.

i wish they'd play more of their old stuff, though...i like the new sound, but nowhere near as much as the old sound.

I was at both of their shows at Walnut Creek. At the 2000 show with The Foo Fighters, they were on it. At the 2003 show I thought they were just going through the motions. Snoop put on a great show that night though

i particularly remember the song californication, because they had some kick ass animation to go with it on a giant screen. but they played some older stuff too...the show was pretty solid all around.

i saw them in 94 or 95 and they sucked

i saw them on the foo fighters tour in roanoke, va and they fucking rocked

i remember the crowd exploding when they broke out "suck my kiss"

they had some other sick ass animation on some other songs, too.

usually the drummer is trying to slow it down, flea is trying to speed it up, kiedis is just trying to hit the right note, and frusciante has no idea whats going on.

they're ok, but live at woodstock they weren't great, and then again at nissan pavilion they weren't that special either.

when they played with snoop, they were outclassed. snoop put on an awsome show. the chili peppers... bad enough i left before they finished.

they played too much of their jam stuff and not enough of their better songs. The RHCP was one of the few times I've ever been at a show and thought of it as noise rather than music.

I saw them the year they were with the Foofighters, too.

But the Foofighters overshadowed them. Dave Grohl's an awesome performer. I even got to touch his boot when he walked ontop of the wall separating the seats from the lawn
