I'm referring to the ones in the dorms.

i realize giving a measurement in terms of "smokiness" will be difficult.

You can blaze in your room with little fear of the detector going off. No worries.

Depending on the battery strength, they can detect between a 6 and an 8 on the Briggs-Hauser scale.

Used to cook in the dorms without any problems.

I'd be kinda paranoid though and I'd sometimes cook in the bathroom, where smoke/steam is a regular.

smoke detectors in Wolf Village are a lot more sensitive than the other dorms.

but that's why there are windows to open, ceiling fans to turn on, and a vent over the oven, too.

yeah, just blow the bong smoke the other direction, you'll be fine

but when we were freshmen...we took a paper towel roll and put a dryer sheet around the end of it with a rubber band and blew in that thing

man...i do NOT miss those days.

well the ones in the apartment will go off at the slightest hint of smoke if i am cooking. But if someone else is cooking, the place could be burning down and it wont go off.
