yeah, college was sweet...6:30am revellie, 7am formation, lunch formation, no civilian clothes for the first two years, no car for the first two years, about 6 weeks of vacation a year...yeah college was fucking grand

college was great. but i cant complain about work life. i live in a college town. hang out with kids my age. work 4 days a week/ get 3 days off. no homework. no papers, no tests, no stress.

a couple of hours a day of classes and/or studying
drinking/partying
trying to hook up with varying degrees of success

I agree with Bobby. Almost unlimited free time and zero responsibility. Plus I was never really hurting that badly for money either .

And I actually looked forward to seeing people in class. Once I started working, I really avoid anyone I work with on the weekends. I mean, I see those people enough during the week--do I really want to spend my weekends with them as well?

Yeah, I hang out with my co-workers some after work, but I try to limit it, b/c i get tired of them after a while.

That and I always keep my work friends separate from my non-work friends. Shit don't mix.

I work in the disaster field....too bad disasters dont take weekends off, holidays off, etc...past two xmases been on the road...still on the road...live out of the suitcase. Although, it kinda feels like college but this time the Feds are taking care of me.
