sort of like last.fm, which I recommended here: http://www.thewolfweb.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=399251
except that musicstrands (http://www.musicstrands.com/) not only makes recommendations based on what you've been playing on your computer (it works with itunes and WMP), but then will generate playlists for you based on those recommendations (using music you already have that fits what it thinks are your preferences). it's really, really, really cool
and then, if you're a http://last.fm user, of course, playing those playlists will send those stats back to last.fm again, which means last.fm will also give you better recommendations, as will musicstrands, and then... well, you see how this will go 4/7/2006 2:28:43 PM |

really? i haven't had any such problems. you don't think creating playlists is useful?
i mean I have alot of music I haven't listened to much or at all, like 50 gigs total, and this helps me know what to listen to and will make me listen to it. 4/8/2006 5:15:54 PM |

oh well that's easy. while you're running the program, click the "playlist builder" icon. then it'll ask you for at least one artist, or track, album, etc, tell it how many tracks to put in the playlist, then you click "get tracks," and it'll create a playlist. simple.
ha! awesome
