A Sound of Thunder

This was a new release at Blockbuster, and being Sci-Fi, I decided to rent it without knowing anything about it. I got home, and looked on IMDB to note it had horrible reviews.

I then watched it, and felt the reviews were justified. The movie is about time travel, but they completely screw it up (giant gaping holes in how they portray it), and the special effects were HORRIBLE. The acting was actually decent, and the plot would have been decent if they would have used a sensible model of time travel.

in my opinion, the movie wasnt THAT bad, but thats taking a few things into consideration:

1 - its not a huge blockbuster of a movie with a giant budget, if you can get past the limited and shitty CGI its not terrible
2 - yes there are plot gaps and other big problems
3 - the concept is cool, yes kinda weak in what they ended up with

nevermind, it did kind of suck. tho i must say it had potential in the first 20 minutes or so but never came thru.

YES THIS MOVIE WAS HORRIBLE


my friend wanted badly to see this movie, so i let him rent it and watch it over here, and as soon as he told me what it was about red flags went up in my head.

ok... if they go back in time to hunt THE SAME DINOSAUR, then they would see the OTHER groups hunting the SAME dinosaur at the SAME TIME.


and... spoiler i guess... killing that ONE butterfly would NOT have changed the future in the way it did. If you didn't notice, about 1 minute after the butterfly got squished, the entire area was obliterated by a pyroclastic flow anyway
