I need a computer with:
a case a power supply a motherboard a CPU (2GHz or greater) RAM (not really a necessity because i'll likely upgrade it) USB 2 support and plenty of interfaces
I already have:
2 optical drives sound card network card (if not onboard) TV tuner card graphics card (8x AGP) 2 parallel ATA hard drives
My computer takes RDRAM and I can't afford it. Cheaper to replace the whole thing. Don't need SATA. No bells or whistles. Computer is not for gaming. I record TV on it and I do homework on it. 4/8/2006 2:02:11 PM |

My computer has PC1066 RAM in it. Is it ok to stick PC800 in there? I really don't know, but I read somewhere that it will fuck up your motherboard. 4/9/2006 2:09:00 PM |

yea thats the thing, rambus boards seem to be real picky with what you can put in them. So if you don't know if your boards compatable I wouldn't try. 4/9/2006 4:44:50 PM |
