What a dumbass car.
its supposed to have the speed 6 motor but wait... lets not give the light one allwheel drive so it could actually compete with the subaru/evo crowd.
250 hp 280 ft-lbs... MAKE IT AWD!!! 4/9/2006 10:25:01 PM |

Why would you want to make the 3 compete with the evo/sti, seems like the six would be more apt here. 4/10/2006 1:42:21 PM |

i thought garage-kids liked it when they de-tuned engines so that you can unleash its potential with cheap upgrades - as opposed to paying more for crappier components that come stock 4/10/2006 2:50:51 PM |

Actually
I think most of them want the perfect car (high power, low weight, great handling) at beater prices, all from the factor.
And once having that, they will sit around and argue about why it isn't the perfect car for any minute reason. 4/10/2006 2:58:16 PM |

^^somebody's got sand in his panties, (edit: but you're right. i.e.-I say I'd love an s2000, but I'm definitely imagining it after a supercharger installation, so I'm constantly not getting sick of zinging it just to get around town)

I bet it has something to do with redesigning the floor of the ms 3 to accomodate rearward drivetrain. The old european focus was a limited-edition car that had a totally messed up production process, where they came off the standard focus line at some point, and then had to put modified spare tire rims on each car and roll them on train tracks to a different building, de-rail them, and continue with the rs stuff. In the case of the ms6, they did lots of chassis strengthening work and could afford to tack on more $$ to the pricetag, whereas the ms3 has to be somewhat near the other 3 models. Subaru gets around these things by having every model accomodate a 4wd platform, and mitsu spends through the nose on top of a lancer to make an evo happen. look at the price discrepancy between a lancer and an evo compared to an impreza 2.5 and a wrx 4/12/2006 9:44:25 AM |
