...just wanted to note that I really like this car.

Had one come into the Roadshop the other day and really enjoyed playing around with it. That, and the guy bought 4gs worth of shit to put in there which made it that much better.

Anyway, really cool stuff. Fun looking truck - very retro. Sorta looks like a liberty/h3 combo, but more old school.

http://www.toyota.com/fj - base price of like 21k. Not too shabby.

^ Haha, come on man, you gotta give it more credit than that.

Plus, they've got TRD on their side...which btw sells some decent accessories for this thing.

30k for a fully loaded / offroad capable vehicle sounds reasonable to me

I'm absolutely digging this thing. I kind of like the push button rear locker. I'd really like to see the power numbers up around the x-terra OR-V6, but they certainly aren't bad. 9.6 in of GC isn't anything to be ashamed of out of the box either. I'll be looking for a used super base model in a few years I'm sure.

yeah, it ran the rubicon, but this isn't exactly offroad capable. Guess it appeals to the right "its never going offroad, but it could if I wanted to" crowd

I don't claim to know a whole lot about offroading, but isn't this thing based on the 4runner? Not sure how those do out of the box, but I know I've seen a lot of them modified for offroad use..

I liked this until someone directed my attention to the blatant Honda Element similarities. Now I can't look at it without going

Just as long as you can actually crush nature under tire with it, it's good (unlike some other, womanly SUVs)

its got three windshield wipers, its the new hotness.

I saw a dealership in detroit with a couple of FJ's on the lot, but didn't have time to stop and check them out. There's a waiting list to buy them sight unseen here in atlanta.
