Anyone else read in the technician the subaru thing. I just found the picture caption really funny. The picture is of this guy with his face like right down by the TMIC (looks like he's about to lick it) and the caption is "analyzing the subaru's engine, NAME, a junior in history, admirers the technology involved. 'it's no rotary engine, but it's pretty cool,".

I'd take a turbo boxer over a rotary myself just b/c IMO for non-race cars, rotaries suck.
But yeah, the picture is hilarious.

yeah....

rotaries = low weight and low slung weight and poop for reliability

boxers =low slung weight flat crank (lighter than a normal one) and reliable

It does suck to change spark plugs on boxers though.

I stopped by the Brickyard the other day and looked at the car. It was basically a stock WRX that had been race prepped. I talked to the driver for a second. It seemed odd to me that Suburu was there, since they are fairly expensive cars and asked him way they came. Appparently they are going around to college campus's trying to change thier image to appeal to younger people. Apparently they had a problem with that before.

Matt has done just about everything you are allowed to do to your car (besides front diff i think) in the PGT class, which is the class he wants to compete in -- so I don't see your point.

also i think it is some shit a class in the bus college is doing, they got him to come so it was not just selling subarus in the brickyard i guess.
http://www.carolinars.com is his site if anyone cares.

no need for flames
