...and the oil in the system looks like water-contaminated gear oil. I mean nasty as fuck.

Now the guy I bought this truck from said it was like the second or third compressor he's put on the damn thing. Now this guy is a heavy equipment mechanic, and he services all grades of stuff. You'd think he might know something about AC, but I ain't holding my breath.

I think I understand why. Fucker must know jack shit about AC systems, because I would swear that this is mineral oil...like 100% mineral oil, not with ester or anything mixed in. I seriously think this is about one hell of a booged up retrofit. I mean I haven't ever nigged one this bad.

Oh well. She's getting a charge and I hope to god the damn compressor works for a little while. It's gonna suck to spend a summer with no AC. Compressors are NOT cheap.

The older I get, the more pussified I get. Gotta have the AC...after all, I spend the majority of the day working outdoors in the heat. I want to be able to cool down if I do so desire.

If you can make yourself a bracket, you can HAVE my AC compressor. I'm sure you can rig it to work.

I got about four compressors lying around here. But this one is a Nippondenso/Chrysler C171 style comp. with an 8-groove pulley (fer tha CUMMINS). Well. I have the vacuum pump pulling her down prior to charge. We'll see what the fork happens when I shoot the juice to 'er.

I know it isn't just "a swap", I figured that if he didn't have one, I would give him one.
