When you make music, the vocals are a big part if they exist at all. When all you can do is string unintelligable yelling to blend with the guitars and drums what the fuck am I suppose to think. Sorry, I'm from the era of music where we use words, a concatenation of letters to conjure ideas in the minds of the listeners.

Take Slayer for example. They scream, a little. Most of what they sing has words.

it is NOT unintelligible yelling to mesh with the drums and guitars. well maybe mastadon is a bad example for this. but you need to check out some other bands that scream apparently. screaming can be just as good and critical to a band when used right as screaming.

Let's take that first one as an example. Begins okay. No singing.
Then it picks up and he sings, but it's completely drowned out by the drums.
Then he starts yelling and continues to yell.
Then a short break where they use synth to do the guys voice.
Then it calms down, and he says some shit I can understand, finally.
I have no context from which to place what hes just said because I can't understand the rest of the song.

Better than the other band. Atleast they know more than 1 fucking rift.
