i reckon by now i could contribute a dozen chapters to the book on the politics of the local music scene, but that's not any kind of reason to be sassy. don't down some dude for using his connections to try and get a leg up. said dude put your band on a big bill and gave you all the help he could, so support him as he tries to help himself. you should be ashamed of that wtf/how-did-you-get-that-gig shit.
the local music scene isn't meant as a cut-throat enterprise. if it gets that way, shit gets fucked up.
