I need to have my bridal gown fitted and altered by May 5th. I bought my dress at Bridal Mart in Burlington and lots of bridal shops won't do your dress if you didn't buy it there. So.. brides, where have you gone around Raleigh to have your dress altered? I guess I'm looking for a tailor who specializes in bridal gowns in Raleigh and will do a good job.

There is someone in raleigh who's business names is like "#####'s Alteration and Bridal" but can't help you on the name. Just open a yellow pages and I would think people would actively advertise bridal alterations... good luck on the timing though... that is cutting it close for surre.

I know two brides and a maid who had their dresses altered at the seamstress's shop that's right above Warlock's at the shopping center where Western and Hillsborough meet. Wherever you go when you get fitted, wear the same undergarments (push up bras, corsets, slimming bodysuits, butt enhancers, whatever) you'll wear on your wedding day. Also get a signed quote for the alterations.

Do you just need it hemmed, do you need it sized up and down in some spots, do you need the waist shortened? If it's lined and you need something like princess seams redone you need to find someone quick.
