My old laptop bit the dust (power supply issues) in early January. I basically just want to get rid of it (or more accurately, have someone get rid of it for me). It looks like if I were willing to take the time to part it out, I could do so on eBay. I just don't want to take the time - but maybe that's your thing.
It's a Gateway Solo 9500. The AC adapter is present and in great shape. The part that seems to not work is the plug-in/internal bit of the power supply (if you hold the cable just right, it will power on). The LCD is in *fantastic* shape. There's a barely visible hairline crack near one of the hinges that you have to look for to be able to notice. It works like a charm and the screen is still great. This thing was my baby for 4.5 years. The old HD has been removed since I couldn't get the computer to stay on long enough to format it. The keyboard works sporatically (some of the keys don't like to work, I used a plugged-in external keyboard mostly when doing my grad school applications). CD Rom drive really doesn't work either. Includes install disks (windows ME), manuals, and laptop case that's giagantic.
So, basically, there's a functioning LCD and AC adapter and the physical laptop architecture and whatever guts are inside the computer other than the HD. Sold as is, no promises on anything working. Heck, it could just be fun to take apart and put back together. All I know is I don't even want to look at it anymore.
