if you haven't seen them before, and you like dialogue driven movies that are romantic but aren't maudlin, I suggest renting them.............

I love them both. I liked Sunset better, just by the way it's shot in that one long conversation.
Sometimes I feel overly sappy for liking them as much as I do. 4/18/2006 2:28:40 AM |

I liked Before Sunrise, then I saw Before Sunset on HBO and stopped because I thought that it was the other one.
Then I realized that they made a movie about two people hanging out 9 years after hanging out. Then I got the hell out of there. 4/18/2006 3:08:08 PM |

Oh good, other people came to this thread. I was afraid only two of us had seen them. 4/18/2006 8:50:46 PM |

I find that they work better in tandem than they do individually. 4/18/2006 8:59:04 PM |

they were also in a short segment of Waking Life together, while laying in bed - not sure where they got the footage for that, though. 4/18/2006 9:19:45 PM |

I've never seen that one, or Dazed and Confused, which some people seem to really love. I still want to see A Scanner Darkly, just because I want to see what he did with the Phillip K. Dick novel. 4/18/2006 9:27:59 PM |

fuck yeah
so this installment is going to feature some other characters? hope that doesn't prevent the movie from basically being an extended dialogue between Jesse and Celine 5/19/2013 6:03:39 PM |

Oh this totally explains why I haven't been able to get Before Sunrise the last 3 times on Netflix. Dammit. 5/19/2013 6:26:37 PM |
