I'm serious. You're asking for an empty bank account or maxed out credit card if you follow the directions. 4/19/2006 12:22:00 AM |

the text was posted from his email, and the crazy code tagged it as a link so it showed up. the actual link in his email went to some other phishing site4/19/2006 12:39:57 AM |

if you actually go to paypal.com you can report the scammers (or you can call them). They have been having these problems for awhile and will get closer to stopping it if people let them know about it and send the link that has been sent to you. or so they told me. 4/19/2006 9:33:24 AM |

Forward the email to spoof@paypal.com so that paypal can look int othe matter. It's just an attempt for someone to troll for your credit card # and personal information. The same will work with ebay, too. (spoof@ebay.com) Note that you will receive a reply from Ebay and PayPal if you do that, though (just so that you don't think that's a phishing attempt, too).
This is one thing that I really like about Thunderbird. Hold your mouse over a link and it shows you where the link actually goes to, and not where the link looks like it goes to. 4/19/2006 9:40:21 AM |

if your registered user name is not in it then it doesn't originate from eBay or PayPal 4/19/2006 12:03:37 PM |
