As crazy as this may sound, why not look for a coach who would actually bring an edge and some attitude to the program. I loved Herb to death and I was sad to see him go but at this point we need a head coach bad. Calipari was going to be a great try but he wasn't feeling it. So shit, why not someone who would want revenge on Carolina and Roy Williams, why not try and get Matt Daughtry! Who better to shake up the ACC, bring us a spark and hopefully in a couple years he'll be able to pick us up from the debts in which we have sunk for running Herb out of town. Yeah, didn't run the most fast pace offense but he won games, maybe we didn't beat Carolina and Duke every year, but who does...Anyway, somebody get Matt Daughtry on the phone and see if he wants revenge on UNC, it'd make a hell of a story if he did come here and we beat Carolina.

yes somewhat, afaik he will be stepping down from the marching band but will continue to run the pep band. Dr. G. will run the marching band and continue to help with pep band.

was actually a good coach, it was HIS recruits that won Roy unc's nat'l championship so technically he did a great job they just needed to give him another 2 years cause he was adjusting the program to his style, which apparantly turned out exceptional
